The Prime Minister returned to the House of Commons today after an expensively choreographed trip to Strasbourg, to admit that nothing has changed. Her botched, blind Brexit deal remains unaltered, and both the DUP and members of her own Party have once again rejected this deal. It is time for the Prime Minister to admit that her strategy has comprehensively failed, and she has wasted the last two and a half years kowtowing to her own Tory Brextremists, rather than reaching out to try and unite the country.
I will not be voting for this shambolic deal this evening because it won’t protect jobs, workplace rights or environmental standards. The Prime Minister has failed woefully and it is time for her to step aside.
