No Confidence in the Government

Last night the Government suffered the worst defeat in the House of Commons in modern history when 432 of MPs voted against the Prime Minister’s botched, blind Brexit deal. In response to this historic defeat, Labour rightly tabled a motion of no confidence in this Tory Government that MPs will vote on this evening.

This is a paralysed Government that has presided over rising inequality, poverty and homelessness and has done nothing to heal the divisions in our country. Instead they are consumed by their own internal party divisions.

It is clear that it is time for this Government to go.
