Guide Dogs’ was started in Wirral in 1931, with just four German Shepherds, and they now have over 5000 dogs providing vital support to their owners.

Yesterday, I met with Jean and Shannon the guide dog to learn more about Guide Dogs’ campaign to raise awareness about discrimination of assistance dog owners despite it being illegal.

I will continue to push for greater enforceability of the Equalities Act, so that we can reduce the number of illegal access refusals for assistance dogs and their owners.
