It is clear that the Prime Minister has wasted two years wrangling with her own Party, and has now come back from Brussels with this unacceptable ‘deal’. Parliament is currently debating the Withdrawal Agreement and will vote whether to accept in on Tuesday 11th December. During my speech, I made clear that I cannot and will not support this botched, blind Brexit that will turn us from rule makers into rule takers and will diminish our global influence. The deal will not protect our jobs, our economy and our prosperity. It will make us poorer, and the Labour Party will not back Theresa May’s Brexit.
