Brunch Time is a local group that offers a chance for parents and children to get together and have a meal, as well as participate in activities, during the school holidays.

It was set up to help feed hungry children during the summer holidays, as families try to cope without Free School Meals.

They operate out of St Albans in Liscard and St Josephs in Seacombe during school holidays. The timetable for this summer, until the end of August, is as follows:

– St Albans Parish Hall, Liscard, Mondays and Thursdays from 10am-11am.
– St Joseph’s meeting room, Seacombe, Tuesdays and Fridays from 10am-11am.

You do not need to book, but a child must be accompanied by an adult in order to attend.

This scheme has been running since Easter 2017 and has been funded by local charity, with support from the Bright Ideas Fund from the Wallasey Constituency Committee. Since then they have fed 516 children and 202 adults and they are looking to expand in the future to other parts of the constituency.

You can hear more about it in the video below with one of the organisers, Pat, and Cllrs Bernie Mooney and Tom Usher ↓
